CANTON, Ohio - Sophomore Smart Osadolor scored in overtime as the Tiffin University men's soccer team (5-1, 3-1 GLIAC) beat Malone (1-6, 0-5 GLIAC) 2-1, Friday afternoon at Pioneer Field.
At the 18:53 mark, freshman Andre Carvalho-Landel sent a cross into the box. Senior Edison Benda dove and headed the ball into the twine. Malone tied the match at 1-1 with a cross of their own with just under five minutes to go in the first half.
At the 97:32 mark, Osadolor got around his defender. He proceeded to volley the ball past the goalie to end the contest.
Tiffin had 32 shots, nine on goal, eight corner kicks and was called for 11 fouls.
Malone had six shots, one on goal, two corner kicks and was called for 23 fouls. Felipe Monteiro had seven saves.
Tiffin remains on the road, Sunday, Sept. 29 taking on Walsh. The game is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
