It took time, but Tiffin University (3-0, 1-0 GLIAC) finally broke through and scored a goal, posting a 1-0 victory over Findlay in their GLIAC opener at Paradiso fields.
The Dragons had numerous chances throughout the first half but could not put a goal home as they battled the Oilers to a scoreless half. But the Dragons kept up the attack and finally broke through in the 68th minute when Karl Jones took a short pass from Alex Tuliraba and put it in the goal for the 1-0 lead.
Findlay kept up their own attack but could not crack through the Dragons defense, as Jeremy Ashley got the win in goal over 90 minutes while making 7 saves.
TU outshot Findlay 28-17 and held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
