TIFFIN, Ohio - Mother Nature literally rained on the parade as the #25 Tiffin University men's soccer team (6-1-1, 4-1-1 GLIAC) tied #30 Saginaw Valley State 1-1 (6-2-2, 5-1-1 GLIAC), Friday afternoon at Paradiso Fields.
At the 8:45 mark, sophomore Smart Osadolor found sophomore Karl Jones in traffic. His shot rebounded to senior Edison Benda who put the ball in. Five minutes later, Jordan Kalk scored to make it 1-1.
After a 41 minute rain delay, the game was called due to unsafe playing conditions. It is considered an official game.
Tiffin had 13 shots, six on goal, five corner kicks and was called for 17 fouls.
Sagianw Valley State had seven shots, three on goal, two corner kicks and was called for 16 fouls.
