$website.include("options")

It was a battle for first place in the GLIAC, as Northwood came to Tiffin to take on the Dragons at PM Gillmor Courts. The Timberwolves, ranked 44th in the nation and 3rd in the Midwest Region (ITA), won the big points along the way and beat TU 7-2, dropping the Dragons to third place overall in the GLIAC.

The tone for the match was set in doubles play, as TU dropped two of three matches. Caroline Nelhage/Chelsea Beck remained unbeaten this season, winning 8-3, but Malaika Messi/Valentina Mazzola (8-3) and Abigail Schuster/Rachelmary Brozovich (8-3) could not come up with key points and fell, putting TU in a 2-1 hole heading to singles play.

Nelhage also remained unbeaten for the season in singles play, winning at second singles 6-2, 6-2, but only Schuster's singles match was close, as she fell 6-2, 3-6, 10-4. Messi, Mazzola, Beck and Brozovich all fell in straight sets.
