Tiffin University (2-3-2, 1-3-1 GLIAC) came back from a second half deficit to force overtime and eventually settled for a 1-1 double overtime tie against visiting Saginaw Valley State (6-1-1, 3-1-1) at Paradiso Fields on Homecoming weekend.
The Dragons played aggressively in the first half, outshooting the Cardinals 8-3 in the half before heading to halftime tied 0-0.
But the Cardinals turned the tables in the second half, outshooting TU 13-5 in the second half and jumping on the board first in the 65th minute when Dylan Knott headed home a throw in from Robert Short to take a 1-0 lead.
The Dragons answered in the 73rd minute when Emmanuel Adjei took Jon O'Brien's corner kick and drilled it home to knot the score at 1-1.
The Dragons were outshot in the two overtime periods 3-1, with Jeremy Ashley making 6 saves over 110 minutes.
Overall SVSU outshot TU 19-14 and held a big 12-4 edge in corner kicks.
