Tiffin University (1-6) fell behind 6-0 after the first 12 minutes and could not make up the deficit, eventually losing to Grand Valley State 16-8.

After trailing by six goals early, the Dragons managed to get to within 7-3. The Lakers immediately responded with a 6-1 run over the next 15 minutes to take a 13-5 lead and effectively put the game away.

Tiffin was outshot 38-22 and also lost control of the draws 17-8. The Lakers also edged TU in ground balls 30-22.

TU had six different players score but no one had more than 2 goals. Alexis MacMillan and Kaitlin Clarke led the way with 2 goals each, while Alexandria Quast had 1 goal and 1 assist. Kelley Miller also had 1 goal with 2 assists. Elyse Braun had a goal and assist and Kalie Weinheimer also had a goal. Quast led the team with 4 draw controls, while Jessica Bombard made 11 saves in goal.
