Tiffin dominated play at Findlay in their GLIAC opener, winning 5-0 behind a strong performance by Ashton Campbell and the Dragons defense.
The Dragons outshot the Oilers 28-9, peppering the Oilers defense throughout the game. TU led 2-0 at halftime behind two goals by Campbell. He opened scoring on an unassisted goal in the 17th minute, going one-on-one and beating the defender from 5 yards out.
His second goal came in the 40th minute off a pass from Edison Benda, beating the keeper from 10 yards out. He completed the hat trick in the 74th minute, this time from 15 yards out off a pass from Tyler Fabian.
The Dragons tallied two more goals in the final 10 minutes, with Stefan Mariano scoring in the 83rd minute with a double assist from Matthew Moceri and Daniel Agosta, while Jesse Burke finished the scoring in the 87th minute with Agosta getting another assist.
Jeff Frisch and Scott Felgar combined for the shutout, with Frisch going 77 minutes and making 2 saves.
