Tiffin University's men's soccer team fell in a hard-fought battle 2-1 at Saginaw Valley State University, falling to 2-3 on the season.

The men's game had similarities to the women's game, as the Dragons once again outshot the Cardinals 21-7 but fell in the contest by a goal.

The Cardinals opened scoring in the 6th minute on a goal by Cedric Daley off a pass from Anthony Palazzolo. The goal by Daley was the only shot of the half for the Cardinals, who held a 1-0 lead at the break. TU outshot SVSU 9-1 in the first half.

In the second half, the Cardinals got a big goal from Zach Walega in the 52nd minute, again off a pass from Palazzolo. The Dragons tried to close the gap but could not get on the board until the 87th minute when Rhys Cannella scored on a penalty kick.

Jeff Frisch took the loss in goal, making 3 saves in 90 minutes. Saginaw Valley keeper Piotr Kamzmierczak made 11 saves in goal to preserve the Cardinals' victory.
