2019:
Gilland came back from injury to appear in two matches and three sets at the end of the season, recording two kills and three digs.
2018:
Gilland played in all 32 matches and all but one set for the Dragons, finishing third on the team with 217 kills, a .231 attack percentage, and 51 total assists. She recorded a season-high 12 kills three times on the season, against Western Oregon on 8/24, Michigan Tech on 10/12, and Hillsdale on 10/19.
2017:
Gilland saw action in 31 matches, amassing 199 kills. She collected 47 digs, and she finished 5th on the team with 49 total blocks.
Personal:
Sydney is the daughter of Steve and Michele Gilland. She has four siblings and is majoring in Forensic Psychology.
High School:
Sydney is a graduate of Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School. While attending, she was an All-Ohio 1st team, 2nd team, and Honorable Mention volleyball player. Gilland was the District 5 Player of the Year, IVC Player of the Year, four time 1st team All-District 5, two time 1st team PAC 7, and two time 1st team IVC. Sydney was also a member of the National Honor Society.
