Dobson appeared in 23 games as a freshman, averaging 2.4 points per game and just under one rebound per game.

Personal: 

Maria is from Akron, Ohio and is the daughter of Rich and Stacie Dobson. She has one sibling, Luke, and is majoring in Exercise Science.

High School:

At St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, Dobson had a highly decorated career. Her accomplishments include being a three-year Varsity Letterman, 2016 Varsity Hustle Award, NEO Youth Christmas Classic MVP, 2018-19 Most Consistent Stat Leader, 2018 Division ll OHSAA District Champions and Regional Finalist, 2019 Division ll OHSAA District Champions, 2019 Division ll OHSAA Regional Champions, 2019 Division ll OHSAA State Semi Finalist, Akron Touchdown Club All Star Award, 2019 WTBCA Second Team All Tri County and All Star, All Northeast Inland Ohio 2nd Team, All Ohio Honorable Mention, and Best of Greater Akron All Star. Academically, she is a member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and earned recognition on the Honor Roll and Principal's List.
