2019-20:
Stevens emerged as the go-to scorer for Tiffin, leading the team and ranking third in the GMAC with 17.5 points per game. He also led the Dragons with a 52.2 field goal percentage and 7.7 rebounds per game. He scored in double figures in 25 of 28 games, including 13 games of 20 or more points. He also recorded seven double-doubles, including a 25-point, 15-rebound performance in the comeback win over Ohio Dominican on 2/1. Stevens also earned one GMAC Player of the Week honor and was named Second Team All-GMAC at the end of the season.
Kilgore College:
Stevens played one season at Kilgore, averaging 7.4 points per game and 2.8 rebounds per game while shooting 51.6% from the field and 31.4% from deep. He scored a season-high 18 points in a win over Navarro on Jan. 30, 2019.
IPFW:
Stevens also played one year at Purdue-Fort Wayne in 2017-18, appearing in 13 games for the Mastodons. He earned 11 points, eight rebounds, two steals and one assist against IU Kokomo (Nov. 30) and recorded 10 points and four rebounds against Concordia (Mich.) (Dec. 30).
Personal:
Jairus is from Merrillville, Indiana and is the son of Barry and Sarita Stevens. He has two siblings, Arriel and Darius, and is majoring in Marketing. His father, Barry, ranked as Iowa State's second leading scorer in program history when he finished his collegiate career, and was drafted by the Denver Nuggets and reached the NBA as a member of the Golden State Warriors in 1993.
