Teril Boldiis

Teril Boldiis enters his first year on the Tiffin University football staff in February of 2026. He will coach the tight ends and running backs while also serving as the Director of Football Operations.

Prior to Tiffin University, Boldiis spent three seasons as a member of the University of Kansas football staff, working as an offensive assistant with the wide receivers. During his time with the Jayhawks, Boldiis was part of one of the most successful stretches in program history. Beginning with the 2023 season, Kansas recorded its first nine-win season since 2008 and finished the year ranked in the AP Top 25 for the first time in over a decade. The Jayhawks’ offense ranked among the nation’s best, averaging 34.8 points per game and finishing inside the Top 20 nationally.

Boldiis played a role in the development of a wide receiver unit that featured three players ranked among the Top 50 nationally in yards per reception, including Quentin Skinner, Lawrence Arnold, and Luke Grimm. During this period, Emmanuel Henderson earned Third Team All-Big 12 honors. Kansas also secured its first Top-10 AP victory since 2007 and its first Top-10 AP home win since 1984, while producing the only wide receiver duo in program history to each record three receiving touchdowns in the same game. Following their collegiate careers, Luke Grimm continued his football career with the Los Angeles Chargers, while Quentin Skinner went on to the New York Jets.

Before his time at Kansas, Boldiis coached at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where he was part of a nationally prominent Division III program that reached the national semifinals and captured two Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) championships. He began as an assistant offensive line coach and, within his first six months, was promoted to running backs coach before later assuming tight ends coaching duties and the role of Director of Football Operations. During his tenure, the Warhawks produced one of the nation’s most explosive offenses, averaging over 40 points and 447 yards per game while surpassing 3,000 rushing yards in a single season. Boldiis helped coach multiple All-Conference and All-American performers, including First Team All-American Kyle Gannon, Fourth Team All-American Douglas Kosch, Second Team All-WIAC tight end Zach Sherman, and First Team All-Special Teams selection Drake Martin.

Boldiis also added defensive coaching experience at Lakeland University, where he coached the outside linebackers and defensive line as part of a staff that led the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in nearly every major defensive category. That season, Lakeland finished as NACC North Division Champions while ranking first in the conference in points allowed, total defense, rushing defense, sacks, and defensive touchdowns.

Boldiis began his college coaching career at Buffalo State College, working with the offensive line and helping develop multiple All-Conference players, including Kyle Schreader and Trey Smith. He later spent time at the University at Buffalo, contributing to the program’s first ten-win season at the Division I level. That season featured appearances in the MAC Championship Game and the Dollar General Bowl, as well as the signing of the highest-rated recruiting class since the program joined the conference.

A native of Johnson City, N.Y., Boldiis graduated from the University at Buffalo in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in supply chain and operations management. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Lakeland University in 2021.
