Biography

2022:

Third Team All GMAC pick...fifth on the team in batting average at .307, has a .465 on-base percentage that ranks third on the team and seventh in the conference, and has scored the third-most runs on the team with 29 RBI this season.

2021:

Campbell played in all 45 games for the Dragons hitting .269, with nine doubles, two triples, and five home runs accounting for 28 RBI.

2020 (shortened due to COVID-19):

Campbell picked up right where he left off in 2019 with a blistering start to the 2020 season, leading the team and all of Division II with a .538 batting average through 11 games and 39 at-bats. He recorded four doubles, three triples, a homer, eight RBI, seven walks, and three steals. 

2019:

Campbell had a breakout year as a sophomore, appearing in 50 games and leading the team with a .380 batting average and .457 on-base percentage. He also finished third in runs (42), second in hits (71), second in doubles (20), second in RBI (39), and third in walks (26). Those numbers also factored into GMAC rankings, as he was fifth in average, sixth in hits, and tied for second in doubles. Campbell was the toughest hitter in strike out in the conference with just 13 K's in 187 at-bats, or one strikeout per 14.5 at-bats. That mark was 25th in Division II, while his doubles mark was also 23rd in the nation. Campbell started the season hot, hitting .462 in the month of February. He record a hit in 38 of 50 games, including 24 multi-hit games and seven with three or more. He notched four base knocks twice, on 3/22 at Cedarville (2 2B, 3 RBI) and against Ashland in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on 5/16 (3B, BB, 4 RBI). He also finished the season on a nine-game hit streak. For his efforts on the field, Campbell was named Second Team All-GMAC at the end of the season.

2018:

Campbell played in 41 games in his freshman campaign with the Dragons, hitting .220 in 127 at-bats. He finished the year with 24 runs scored, two triples, 16 RBI, and six stolen bases.

Personal:

Zach is the son of John and Kathy Campbell. He is majoring in Chemistry at Tiffin.

High School: 

Zach lettered in baseball three years, as well as golf and bowling all four years. In baseball, he was named Second Team All-Conference as a junior and First Team All-Conference as a senior.
