Oakley is from Loveland, Ohio and is the son of Jim and Dayna Tippen. He has one sibling, Bernie, and is majoring in Finance.

High School:

At CHCA, Oakley was First Team All-Conference, First Team All-City, Honorable Mention All-State, and his team reached the 2017 Final Four. Academically, he was a member of the National Honor Society, an AP Scholar, and received the Bronze Presidential Service Award.
