2021:
Ross started five games on the mound, tallying three wins and one loss… tossed 25.0 innings, fanned 26 (9.36 per 9 Inn.) with a 3.96 ERA… Missed most of the 2021 season due to injury.
2020 (shortened due to COVID-19):
Ross was one of the most dominant pitchers in Division II in the short season, finishing as one of just three that did not allow an earned run in at least 10 innings pitched. He threw 14 innings in three starts, striking out 23 and walking just three with a blistering 14.79 strikeouts per nine innings.
2019:
Ross emerged as the go-to-guy out of the bullpen during his sophomore year, appearing in a TU-record 24 games, including five starts. He led the team with three saves, and compiled a team-low 4.68 ERA in 59.2 innings (third-most) with 49 strikeouts (second). He was especially strong in April and May, posting ERAs of 3.75 and 2.38, respectively. During those two months, he allowed one run or less in 12 of 14 appearances, including seven with no runs.
2018:
Ross appeared in 16 games on the mound for the Dragons in his freshman season, posting a 6.53 ERA with 33 strikeouts in 30.1 innings.
Personal:
Michael is the son of Chuck and Nikki Ross and has one sister, Olivia. He is majoring in Business Management at Tiffin.
High School:
Ross was named team MVP, First Team All-OCC, conference MVP, and All-Ohio while in high school.
