2022:
Boswell led the team with an 8-3 record, four complete games, two shutouts, a 1.96 ERA, pitched 78.0 innings, allowed 53 hits, 26 runs, 17 earned runs, 98 strikeouts, 11.31 strikeouts per nine innings, and led the conference holding opponents to a .187 batting average. He fanned 16 batters in his conference tournament start vs. Walsh. In conference play, Boswell was 6-1 with a 1.04 ERA. This year he broke the all-time school record for career wins with 26...He received D2CCA All American honors along with NCBWA All-Region accolades, D2CCCA All-Midwest Region Baseball Team, All-Conference Honors, GMAC Pitcher of the Week, and multiple GMAC Athlete of the Week citations.
2021:
Boswell started 10 games on the mound, recorded seven wins, one loss and tossed two complete games… pitched 59.0 innings, fanned 62 (9.46 per 9 Inn.) with a 3.20 ERA… He received Second Team All-Conference accolades for his performance this season… He was among the league leaders on the mound - 3rd in ERA, 9th in opponent batting average, 10th in innings pitched, 10th in strikeouts, T-1st in wins, and 2nd in runs allowed.
2020 (shortened due to COVID-19):
Boswell was off to an incredible start in 2020 before the season cancellation, picking up three wins in three starts with a 0.90 ERA. He threw 20.0 innings with 22 strikeouts and seven walks.
2019:
Did not play due to injury.
2018:
Boswell continued his solid career with 10 starts and 13 appearances in his sophomore campaign. He threw 57 innings (2nd on team), recorded three saves (tied for first), had a 5.53 ERA, and led the team with 49 strikeouts while only walking 18 batters.
2017:
Boswell had a record setting rooking campaign that led to him being named GLIAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year. Michael finished 6-1 in 11 appearances with nine starts. Michael punched out 45 batters while walking only 14. His six victories tied for the 7th most in a single season in Tiffin history. Michael finished second on the team in strikeouts per nine innings with 8.10, and in innings pitched with 50.
Personal:
Michael is the son of Mike and Nancy Boswell. He is a graduate of Riverside High School and is majoring in Education.
High School:
Michael was a highly decorated athlete, twice being an All-Section selection, All-WPIAK selection, Pittsburgh AA Player of the Year, Beaver County Player of the Year, and 2016 WPIAL Player of the Year.
