Jakobe is from Mansfield, Ohio and is the son of JT and Janice Reese. He has two siblings, Jalen and Jeryn, and is majoring in Finance at Tiffin.

High School:

Jakobe starred at Mansfield High School, where he was First Team All-Conference, Second Team All-District, and played in both the All-Ohio Series and the District All-Star Game. Academically, he was in the top 10% of his senior class.
