Biography

2019:

Callihan capped a great career as a big part of Tiffin baseball's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and pair of NCAA postseason victories. He was fourth on the team with a .311 batting average, second with 47 runs scored, second with 29 walks, and led the team with nine stolen bases. His runs scored mark was also eighth in the GMAC and eighth-most in a single season in TU history, and his six sacrifice flies tied for second in the conference and 30th in the nation. Callihan had big performances against Walsh on 5/4 (3-5, 2 RS, 3 RBI, BB) and in the NCAA opening round win over Ashland (4-5, 2 RS, 2B, 3 RBI). He ended the season especially hot, reaching base in 23 of the final 24 games, with hits in 21 of the 24. Callihan concludes his Dragon career tied for eighth all-time in runs with 129, seventh in stolen bases with 33, and tied for ninth in walks with 73.

2018:

Callihan made his mark as Tiffin's most consistent hitter in his junior season, playing in all 45 games and leading the team with a .335 batting average and .439 on-base percentage. He tallied 55 hits (1st on team), five doubles (tied for fourth), 18 RBI (fifth), 28 walks (1st) and eight stolen bases (1st). The junior recorded 18 multi-hit games, including two contests with three hits and a four-hit effort on 5/10 against Northwood in GLIAC Tournament action. Callihan also enjoyed a nine-game hit streak from 3/7-3/18 and finished the year on a hit streak of five games, all of which were multi-hit efforts. The outfielder earned his first all-conference nod as a member of the All-GLIAC Honorable Mention squad, and was also named a Google Cloud Academic All-District selection for his play on the field and success in the classroom.

2017:

Brayden set career highs in every statistical category. Callihan hit .321 with 35 hits, 32 runs scored, 15 runs batted in, and led Tiffin in stolen bases with 13. 

2016:

Callihan played in 22 games, starting six. Brayden hit .250 in 32 at bats. He finished with eight hits, five runs scored, five RBI's, and stole two bases. 

Personal:

Brayden is the son of Rob and Michelle Callihan. He has two siblings, a brother and a sister. Callihan is majoring in Sports Management with a minor in Accounting.

High School:

Brayden graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School. While attending, he was an All-Central District selection, while batting .340 with 5 triples his senior season.
