Latrell is an East Cleveland, Ohio native, and intends to major in Athletic Administration. He is the son of Temeka Robinson and Lawrence Orr and the step son of Lucia Marquez.

Robinson is a graduate of Shaw High School. While attending, he amassed 112 tackles, four interceptions, 15 tackles for loss, and scored a pair of touchdowns.
