MANHEIM, Pa. – Tiffin University women's wrestling coach Chandler Minnard has been named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Leadership Group. Going into his fifth season with the 'Gons, Minnard was elected to the position in a vote of his peers.
Minnard is one of 12 representatives at the National Collegiate level and will be his second stint after serving on the same Leadership Group during the 2024-25 academic year.
"I am extremely honored and very grateful to get to represent Tiffin University on the Leadership Group," said Minnard. "Thank you to my coaching peers that have blessed me with this opportunity again! It is my honor to be tasked with continuing to elevate the great sport of Collegiate Women's Wrestling."
The mission of the NWCA Leadership Group is to provide the coaches from each conference with a voice, at the Association level, that will improve the communication among members and their national organizations.
Under Minnard's direction, the Dragons have continued to show steady improvement on the mat and in the classroom. Last year,
Annesley Day earned a spot at the NCAA National Championships with a third-place finish at the NCAA Region IV Championships. In addition, both
Jenavi Alejandro and
Erin Martin earned CSC Academic All-District® honors.
