Tiffin's esports program recently engaged in a couple community projects, raising money for charity while also supporting Seneca Starvue theater in a gaming event.

The esports squad ran a 24 hour live stream. This was an effort to raise money for Extra Life! a vehicle used by the Children Miracle Network. The team raised over $1000 for CMN. As a result team member Austin "Redstone" Pierron got his head shaved. Nearly 25 students were involved with the event at some level.

Once completed with the fundraiser, the eSports team came to the theater and played in a Super Mario Gamers event. The squad have a 100 inch screen in their arena. In the theater they enjoyed playing on Starvue's 432 inch screen. The theater also had 32 players who paid $10 to play as much as they wanted from 1pm - 6pm. There were smaller 50 inch screens, but everyone got to rotate and play on the big screen as much as they wanted. Much of the time either 4 or 5 players would be playing Smash Bros at the same time.

The event gave the TU esports team a chance to join in supporting the expanded usage of the theater, providing family entertainment opportunities to the community. The closing Cinemark Theater was purchased in September of 2024 by local investors and renamed Seneca Starvue to make sure families continued to have another entertainment option. Now that is being expanded with more options, and there are more plans to continue with similar gaming activities in the future.
