Tiffin University (4-10, 2-8 G-MAC) had a rough third quarter, falling behind by 4 goals after being tied at halftime en route to a 13-11 loss in its season finale.
Tied at the half 6-6, the Saints took advantage of a 13-6 shot edge and 7 TU turnovers to outscore the Dragons in the third quarter 5-1. Tiffin got a goal from
Aaron Cotter just 25 seconds into the third quarter to take a 7-6 lead but then did not get another goal for 17:30 when
Cole Mack scored three minutes into the fourth quarter.
The Saints pushed their lead to 13-8 with 8:47 left in the game. Tiffin got late goals by
Matthew Nunnaro and
Aiden Criteser to get to within two goals but it wasn't enough.
Tiffin opened the game with two goals as Cotter and
Cole Mack scored. Both teams traded scores throughout the first half, with Criteser scoring with one second left in the half to tie the score 6-6 at the break.
Overall Thomas More outshot TU 48-37. The Dragons had 25 turnovers including 10 in the first quarter. The Saints also won the face offs 16-11.
