The Tiffin University baseball team (14-26, 9-14 G-MAC) could not record the 27th out and fell to Ashland in game three 7-6 on Saturday after taking a 6-4 lead.  

Tied at four in the top of the ninth, Jovanny Skrelja started the inning with a leadoff walk and then came around to score on a throwing error. Later in the inning, Weston Thompson delivered a pinch-hit RBI single to score Cadence Varner. 

In the bottom of the ninth, Patrick Dinnen walked the first two before getting lifted for Brock Polilli. Polilli came in and immediately got two outs, but a walk loaded the bases and the Eagles got back-to-back singles on 0-2 pitches to steal one from the Dragons. 

In the sixth, Michael Patellis gave TU a 4-1 lead with a two-run home run, but the Dragons could not maintain the momentum as an error in the bottom of the sixth led to three Ashland runs with two being unearned to tie the game.  

Tiffin's two other runs in the game came on RBI singles by Griff Cady and Dylan Ruhe.  

Patellis was the only hitter to record a multi-hit game going 2 for 3.  

Polilli dropped to 0-3 on the year after allowing the game-winning run. Starter Trent Hedges went 5.2 innings and allowed four runs (two earned) on three hits with five walks and eight strikeouts.  

Luke Mager tossed 1.1 scoreless innings and Nick Hayes pitched 0.2 scoreless innings.
