Tiffin University (20-5, 8-0 G-MAC) captured the G-MAC regular season title with a thrilling 4-3 win over Findlay that came down the final three-set singles match.
This marks Tiffin's sixth G-MAC title in seven seasons and extends their unbeaten streak in the regular season to 34 consecutive matches. The Dragons have not lost a conference game since April 3, 2022.
With the score tied 3-3,
Jose Portillo came from behind to pull out a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 win to secure the championship.Â
The day was filled with tight matches, starting with the doubles matches. Tiffin swept the doubles matches but every match was razor thin.
Romain Marionneau/Lorenzo Percchini won 7-6 (8-6),
Martin Driesner/
Jose Portillo won 7-6 (7-2), and
Max Westall/
Harry Senior prevailed 6-4.
Other close singles wins for Tiffin included Marionneau 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 and Perucchini 6-0, 6-2.
Driesner lost a three set match 2-6, 6-2, 6-0 while
Erwan Colin lost 6-0, 7-5 and Senior fell 6-3, 7-6.
