Tiffin University baseball (9-15) suffered a 7-6 loss to Division I Bowling Green on the road Tuesday afternoon as the Falcons walked it off in the bottom of the ninth.
Tiffin led 5-4 in the eighth inning until the Falcons scored two to take their first lead of the game. In the ninth, Brayden Clark delivered a two-out game-tying single scoring Cadence Varner. In the ninth, Brett Madison walked the leadoff hitter and he came around to score on a one-out single off TU reliever Brock Polilli.
The Dragons led 3-1 after two and added single runs in the fourth and fifth innings. In the fifth, TU had the bases loaded with just one out but only managed one run as Julian Hernandez reached on a fielder's choice allowing Clark to score.
The Falcons got single runs in both the fifth and sixth before taking the lead later on.
Dylan Kaiser, Mason Brunecz, and Andrew Baileys all recorded scoreless outings on the mound, while the loss was credited to Madison. Caden Otterbacher made his season debut pitching 1.0 innings.
Clark went 3 for 5 at the plate while Hernandez, Michael Patellis, and Dylan Ruhe had two hits. Jovanny Skrelja was 1 for 2 with two walks.
