Tiffin University men's and women's track and field kicked off outdoor season this weekend at the Lee University Invitational.
Men's notable results:
Elijah Miller took first in the long jump with a new personal best mark of 7.08 meters (23' 2.75").
Masakala Amuri won the triple jump event with a mark of 14.04 meters (46' 0.75").
Brock Carlson won the shot put with a throw of 16.50 meters (54' 1.75").
Thomas Nelson won the hammer throw with a mark of 58.32 meters (191' 4").
Preston Rutschilling won the high jump with a mark of 2.01 meters (6' 7").
William Rahm won the pole vault with a mark of 4.85 meters (15' 11").
Jordan Cortner won the 400 meter hurdles with a new personal best time of 52.98 seconds.
Louis Ginane placed second in the 1500 meter run with a personal best time of 3:53.02.
Women's notable results:
Ayanna Woods won the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.48 seconds and recorded a personal best time of 14.76 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles.
The 4x100 relay team of Woods, Amirah Dixon, Mikelia Strong, and Nevaeh Lewis placed first with a time of 46.62 seconds.
Kaitlyn Gum competed in the discus throw for the first time and recorded a mark of 37.56 meters (123' 3").
