Tiffin University (9-17, 4-15 G-MAC) could not overcome a big free throw disadvantage, falling to Northwood 70-56. 

Northwood made 22 trips to the foul line and connected on 18 of them, giving them 11 more points at the line than Tiffin (7 of 9). 

Northwood opened the game on fire, shooting 60 percent in the first quarter en route to a 24-17 lead. While both teams cooled off in the second quarter, the Timberwolves still held a 35-28 lead at halftime.

Trailing by 6 points early in the third quarter, the Dragons were hit by a 10-0 run by Northwood that pushed their lead to 16 points midway through the quarter.

The Dragons trailed by double digits for most of the remainder of the game, pulling to within 8 points with 3:13 left in the game. Northwood went 8 for 8 from the line over the rest of the game.

Overall Northwood outrebounded TU 41-36 while also outshooting TU 40 percent to 33 percent.

Hailey Unger led the Dragons with 22 points and 5 rebounds while Garyana Overton had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Isabelle Niederst and Peyton Magee also had 7 points apiece.
