Fourth-quarter surge sends Dragons to 72-61 victory

Tiffin University (7-6, 2-3 G-MAC) saved the best for last, shooting a blistering 83 percent from the floor and scoring 28 points to outpace Cedarville 72-61.

After building a 32-24 halftime lead, Cedarville took advantage of 26 percent shooting in the third quarter by the Dragons to pull to within a point. The game stayed close with the Yellow Jackets trailing just 46-45 at the 8:28 mark of the fourth quarter.

The Dragons responded with a 14-4 run over the next 3:00 to push their lead to 11 points. Cedarville was unable to make up the difference over the closing minutes.

Tiffin shot 47 percent for the game while holding Cedarville to 37 percent. Tiffin also outscored Cedarville at the line 15-5.

Megan Campbell had one of her best games of the season, totaling 27 points with 9 rebounds including 7 for 10 at the free throw line. Hailey Unger also scored 16 points.

Isabelle Niederst and Serenitee Johnson both scored 8 points with Niederst also grabbing 6 rebounds. Myka Richardson was potent off the bench with 6 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists.
