Tiffin University (9-8, 4-6 G-MAC) came out of the gate on fire against Hillsdale, outscoring the Chargers 26-7 in the first quarter en route to an 80-52 victory.
TU shot 52 percent in the opening quarter while holding Hillsdale to 27 percent. Tiffin did not let up in the second quarter, outscoring the Chargers 17-9 to amass a huge 43-16 lead at halftime.
Tiffin did not cool down after the break, shooting 55 percent and outscoring the Chargers 27-19. They ultimately led by as many as 35 points.
Tiffin's defense forced 23 turnovers leading to 33 points. Tiffin also shot well from three-point land, hitting 40 percent of its shots (12 of 30).
Isabelle Niederst led the attack with 23 points including 17 in the first half.
Hailey Unger had 15 points with 6 rebounds while
Serenitee Johnson also had 15 points with 4 assists.
Megan Campbell also reached double figures with 10 points and a team-high 5 assists along with 5 rebounds.
Myka Richardson also had 7 points with 5 rebounds off the bench.
