Tiffin University (17-9) battled to the last match, winning a three-set match in the final match of the day to edge Walsh 4-3.

The win advances the Dragons to the G-MAC Tournament championship game at 3 pm vs. Findlay.

The tone was set early, as the Dragons pulled out two narrow doubles matches for the first point. Matthew Weaver/Jose Portillo won 7-6 (7-4), while Romain Marionneau/Lorenzo Perucchini won 6-4.

In singles, Martin Driesner (6-1, 6-1) and Marionneau (6-4, 6-1) won quickly to give TU a 3-0 lead.

Portillo, however, fell 6-3, 6-3 while Janis Auslands also lost 6-3, 6-4 to narrow the gap to 3-2. Walsh won another three-set match as Perucchini fell 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 as the match tied 3-3.

That put the weight on Erwan Colin, who came back from a 3-6 loss in set one to win the final two sets 6-1, 6-1.
