Tiffin University men's track and field had a busy weekend, sending three athletes to compete in California and then hosted the Tiffin Carnival at Heidelberg on Saturday. At he Carnival, the Dragons had multiple top placers.
Highlighting the meet in California was Talel Khalfi placing 19th in the 5000 meter run with a new personal best time of 14:06.88. Louis Ginane ran the 10,000 meter run for the first time and placed 10th with a time of 29:20.53.
At the Carnival, Joshua Page won the 100 meter dash with a new personal best time of 10.22 seconds. Lewis Cotterill won the 800 meter dash with a time of 1:51.35.
Octavious Joe won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53.82 seconds for a new personal best and placed second in the 110 hurdles with a new personal best time of 15.24 seconds. Dalton Gleeson won the 3000 steeplechase with a time of 9:13.00.
The 4x100 relay team of Kyron Rogers, Tesean Jefferson, Brody Devlin, and Aiden Champagne placed second with a time of 41.62 seconds. Pieter Wise and Camron Ventura tied for first in the high jump while William Rah was the pole vault champion. Kevin Hornbeak placed first in the shot put and recorded a new personal best mark of 49.20 meters (161' 5") in the hammer throw finishing second.
