Tiffin University women's lacrosse (8-6, 4-3 G-MAC) hit the road on Wednesday and dropped a 20-9 decision at Findlay.
The Dragons went scoreless in the opening quarter and trailed 4-0 after one and couldn't make up the deficit. Findlay scored their four goals in the final 8:02 to take the lead and they never trailed.
Caylin Kunze and Lillian Graham quickly scored two goals in the first five minutes of the second quarter to cut the lead in half but couldn't add anymore and the Oilers once again scored four to take an 8-2 lead into halftime.
Tiffin tried to get back into it in the third as the Dragons connected on five goals, but they were unable to make up any ground as Findlay scored six in the third. Findlay scored six more in the fourth and outscored Tiffin 12-7 in the second half.
Graham had a big day offensively as she led the team in goals with four. Kenna Wigginton, Lauren Walsh, Katelyn Jarvis, Kunze, and Jessa Zaheri each scored one. Walsh and Zaheri each had one assist and Guinevere Salas added three assists.
Paige Waldrup took the loss in goal playing all 60 minutes and made four saves.
Findlay held a 34-19 advantage in shots and Tiffin turned it over 21 times. The Dragons secured only 8 of 31 draw controls and struggled in clear attempts for the second straight game, going 11 for 18. Findlay also won the ground ball battle 19-15.
