Tiffin University men's track and field had a very busy weekend as athletes competed in North Carolina, Florida, and Ohio.
Duke Invitational meet highlights:
Lewis Cotterill finished 24th in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:52.15 and Talel Khalfi finished 24th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 3:49.42.
Louis Ginane placed fourth in the 5000 meter run with a new personal best time of 14:08.70. Myles Sams placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 15.04 meters (49' 4.25").
Kevin Hornbeak placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 17.68 meters (58' 0.25"). Camron Ventura placed seventh in the decathlon and recorded personal bests in the 100, 400, and pole vault.
South Florida Invitational meet highlights:
Ariel Clark was the only competitor and placed sixth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53.11 seconds. That time was also a national provisional mark.
John Homon Open meet highlights:
Kyron Rogers placed third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.92 seconds and placed fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.93 seconds.
Brody Devlin placed sixth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.92 seconds and recorded a new personal best time of 22.50 seconds in the 200 meter dash finishing 10th. Trevor Vogt finished seventh in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.34 seconds.
Pieter Wise earned a second-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.93 meters (6' 4"). Jacob Goudy placed eighth in the javelin with a mark of 44.56 meters (146' 2").
Nasir Dais recorded personal bests in both the shot put (11.08 meters / 36' 4.25") and discus (33.96 meters / 111' 5").
