#12 Tiffin University STUNT (6-7) had a tough weekend facing ranked competition but came away with one win on Sunday to finish the Missouri trip 1-3.
Game one vs. #4 Maryville (L, 22-6)
Maryville capitalized on a scoreless first half by the Dragons in this one to take an 8-0 lead into the break. Despite six second-half points by the Dragons, Maryville totaled 14 including 11 in the final quarter.
The highest rated players in the game were Kaiah Hicks, Karli Liming, Natalie Viggiano, and Rajah Little.
Game two vs. #8 Trevecca Nazarene (L, 17-7)
Trevecca defeated the Dragons for the second time this season and Tiffin once again faced an 8-0 halftime deficit. A strong second half wasn't enough though as Trevecca held a 9-7 scoring advantage. Tiffin outscored the Trojans 4-1 in the third quarter but Trevecca had a strong final quarter, outscoring TU 8-3.
The highest rated players were Little, Gwen Neikirk, Hicks, Liming, and Viggiano.
Game three vs. #13 Drury (W, 12-8)
Tiffin's lone win of the day came in game one of the final day of the weekend competition. The two teams were tied at three at the half and it was the Dragons who had a strong second half. TU took a 6-3 lead going into the final period and overall outscored Drury 9-5 in the second half.
Game four vs. Missouri Baptist (L, 20-4)
For the third time this weekend, the Dragons got off to a slow start and fell behind 8-0 halfway through. The Dragons earned two points in both the third and fourth quarters.
