Tiffin University (1-5, 1-2 G-MAC) could not overcome a big first half deficit, falling at Northwood 15-7.
The Dragons found themselves down at halftime 10-1 as the Timberwolves opened with a 6-1 edge in period one and shut out Tiffin 4-0 in the second period.
Tiffin was outshot in the first half 27-14 with Tiffin's lone goal coming from
Matthew Nunnaro at the 1:43 mark of the first period.
Tiffin tried to climb back into the game early in the third period as they scored four straight goals. Nunnaro added another goal at the 13:17 mark while
Aiden Criteser followed shortly thereafter. After Nunnaro added his third goal,
Leyton Roetting took a pass from
Kyle Geller and scored at the 9:58 mark to make the score 11-5, Northwood.
Tiffin could get no closer, with Criteser and Geller both adding goals in the fourth period.
Overall Tiffin was outshot 45-35 while also committing 24 turnovers. Tiffin won the faceoffs 14-12 while Northwood won the ground balls 45-42.
