Tiffin University men's and women's track and field traveled to Ashland University for the two-day Jud Logan Light Giver Open. At the meet, multiple Dragons earned new personal bests and three school records were broken.
Men's highlights:
Kameron Walker finished eighth in the 400 meter dash with a personal best time of 49.26 seconds. Gabe Douce placed 14th in the 800 meter run with a personal best time of 1:55.09. Talel Khalfi continued his strong performances, winning the mile in a personal best time of 4:03.68, breaking a school record.
Ariel Clark recorded new personal bests in both the 200 meter dash and 60 meter hurdles while Trevor Vogt earned personal bests in both the 200 and 400 meter dash.
The distance medley relay team of Lewis Cotterill, Louis Ginane, Joshua Page, and Dalton Gleeson placed first with a time of 9:51.62. William Rahm recorded a personal best mark of 4.45m (14' 7.25") in the pole vault.
Joshua Page placed second in the 400 and broke his own school record with a time of 46.06 seconds. Myles Sams won the triple jump with a mark of 15.08m (49' 5.75"). Ethan Lyon won the shot put with a mark of 16.36m (53' 8.25").
Women's highlights:
Nevaeh Lewis finished third in the 200 meter dash with a personal best time of 24.60 seconds. Caliyah Wallace broke the school record in the 200 meter dash, winning the event with a personal best time of 24.36 seconds. Liana Rodriguez recorded personal bests in both the 200 meter dash and 400 meter dash.
Cantrelle Williams recorded personal bests in both the 200 and 400. Cassandra Uribe and Kyla Garbe both earned personal bests in the 400 meter dash. Ava Mylor set personal bests in both the 60 hurdles and 200 meter dash.
Moselle Punni recorded a new personal best in the triple jump and placed seventh with a mark of 11.19m (36' 8.5"). Kaitlyn Gum placed second in the weight throw.
