Talel Khalfi captured the 5000 meter run title on Friday evening as the Dragons concluded day one of the G-MAC Indoor Championships on the campus of Ashland University.
As a team, the 20th ranked Dragons are currently sitting in third place with 45 points. Findlay is leading the way with 62.5 points followed by Ashland with 61. Day one results listed below.
5000 meter run:
Khalfi crossed the line in 14:40.16 to claim the title.
Louis Ginane placed fourth with a time of 14:46.38.
Ashton Vent finished 29th in 15:57.62.
William Marks crossed the line in 16:03.84 and finished 30th.
60 meter hurdle prelims:
Octavious Joe placed eighth to earn a spot in tomorrow's 60 meter hurdle finals.
400 meter dash prelims:
Joshua Page finished first in 47.27 seconds to earn a spot in tomorrow's finals.
60 meter dash prelims:
Joshua Page, Dylan Randall, and Freider Fornasari-Banguera all finished in the top eight to earn a spot in tomorrow's finals.
200 meter dash prelims:
Joshua Page, Freider Fornasari-Banguera, and Kameron Walker all placed in the top eight to earn a spot in tomorrow's finals.
4000 distance medley relay:
The squad of Ramon Rodriguez, Lewis Cotterill, Gabe Douce, and Dalton Gleeson placed third with a time of 9:58.23.
Long jump:
Ricky Howard finished sixth with a mark of 6.84 meters.
Myles Sams placed eighth with a mark of 6.74 meters.
Camron Ventura finished ninth with a mark of 6.67 meters.
Elijah Miller placed 18th with a mark of 4.76 meters.
Pole vault:
Will Rahm placed fourth with a mark of 4.82 meters.
Davis Reinhard finished eighth with a mark of 4.22 meters.
High jump:
Pieter Wise placed fourth with a mark of 2.00 meters.
Garrett Hoepf finished fifth with a mark of 1.95 meters,
Johnny Howard and Jacob Goudy placed tied for12th with a mark of 1.85 meters.

Thomas Nelson finished fifth with a mark of 19.02 meters.
