Tiffin University (0-1) opened against 13th-ranked Lewis, and the Flyers lived up to their ranking with a 23-2 victory.
Lewis used a strong offensive attack from the outset, outshooting TU 17-3 in the opening period to jump out to a 9-0 lead.

Connor Gucwa at 10:56 of the second period, making the score 12-1. Lewis continued to fire away, outshooting TU 16-3 in the second period. At the break, Lewis led 16-1.
The Dragons could not keep pace with Lewis, as the Flyers fired off 23 more shots in the third period and posted a 6-0 scoring edge.Â
