Tiffin University (8-19, 3-15 G-MAC) battled back from a big first-half deficit but could not pull off the comeback, falling at Lake Erie 72-59.
The Dragons opened the game with tough shooting from the field, connecting on only 27 percent of its shots from the floor in the first half as they fell behind at the half 32-17.
The lead expanded to 19 points for the Storm early in the third quarter but the Dragons rallied to retake the lead. Over the next 10 minutes, TU outscored Lake Erie 34-14 to take a 51-50 lead with 7:34 to play.
The lead was short lived. The Storm turned it around on a 15-3 run that put them back on top 65-54 with 2:13 left.Â
The Strom hit its free throws when it counted, outscoring TU at the line 16-7 and hitting 16 of 23 overall. Tiffin managed just 35 percent from the field for the game while getting outrebounded 36-26. Lake Erie held a 38-26 scoring margin inside.
Lyv Lindeman had a strong game, scoring 25 points with 6 rebounds and 4 assists while
Megan Campbell also reached double figures with 10 points and 5 assists.
Grace Craig also grabbed 8 rebounds.
