Tiffin University men's track and field, ranked 19th in the country, traveled to Findlay on Friday for the Flag City Tune-Up. At the event, Tiffin had multiple event winners and multiple athletes record personal bests.
Meet highlights:
Kevin Hornbeak was the shot put event winner with a mark of 17.94 meters (58' 10.25"), a new personal best. Ethan Lyon also posted a personal best in the shot put and placed fifth with a mark of 16.53m (54' 2.75"). Garrett Hoepf and Pieter Wise were co-champions in the high jump with both earning a mark of 1.97m (6' 5.5").
Kyron Rogers placed second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.93 seconds. Nicholas Colosimo recorded a personal best in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:59.85 and placed fourth. Ashton Vent earned a personal best in the mile with a time of 4:36.93 and finished seventh.
William Marks placed second in the 3000 meter run with a personal best time of 9:25.65. The 4x400 relay team of Brody Devlin, Kameron Walker, Octavious Joe, and Ariel Clark won the event with a time of 3:24.82. Octavious Joe recorded personal bests in the pole vault and long jump.
