Fourth-quarter burst sends Dragons to 85-82 victory

Tiffin University (2-1) used a strong fourth quarter to outpace Lake Superior State 85-82 on the road.

Trailing 65-57 at the 9:08 mark of the fourth quarter, the Dragons upped their game, shooting 50 percent from the floor to go on a 22-7 run over the next 7:00. With a 7-point lead and under 2:00 to play, the Dragons hit 12 of 15 free throws in the period to put the game away.

Tiffin's defense also forced 23 turnovers leading to a 22-15 scoring edge off miscues. Tiffin also dominated inside with a 52-40 scoring advantage.

Megan Campbell had a huge game, finishing with 26 points while going 7 for 12 from the field and 11 of 13 from the foul line. She also had 6 assists.

Isabelle Niederst also had a massive game, totaling 20 points with 5 rebounds and 8 steals. Three other Dragons reached double figures, with Hailey Unger and Serenitee Johnson each getting 13 points and Myka Richardson added 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals off the bench.
