Tiffin University (2-1) used a strong fourth quarter to outpace Lake Superior State 85-82 on the road.
Trailing 65-57 at the 9:08 mark of the fourth quarter, the Dragons upped their game, shooting 50 percent from the floor to go on a 22-7 run over the next 7:00. With a 7-point lead and under 2:00 to play, the Dragons hit 12 of 15 free throws in the period to put the game away.
Tiffin's defense also forced 23 turnovers leading to a 22-15 scoring edge off miscues. Tiffin also dominated inside with a 52-40 scoring advantage.
