Tiffin University returns to the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championships as the 6th seed in Super Region 3. This marks Tiffin's ninth selection to the NCAA regional level. The regionals, which will feature 40 teams nationally, saw the Dragons participating in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Tiffin University is the GMAC regular-season and tournament champion.

Lincoln also received a first round BYE and will take on the Dragons at Capital City High School.

The Blue Tigers, ranked 15th nationally, went 10-0-6 during the regular season and beat Missouri S&T, 4-0, in the quarterfinals of the GLVC Championship before falling to McKendree in overtime during the semifinals. This is the first time ever that Lincoln will host an NCAA tournament soccer match.

Kevon Maitland, the GLVC Offensive Player of the Year and an all-conference first team selection, leads Lincoln with 20 points on the year after scoring eight goals and tallying four assists. Christopher Hull earned two spots on the All-GLVC second team, making the list as both a forward and a midfielder after scoring four goals and notching four assists. Hadri Lopez led LU with five assists and added three goals while Lozano and Santiago Brisco each have four goals on the season.

Vincent Osei was named the All-GLVC second team goalkeeper after making 65 saves and having a role in six shutouts during the season. Adam Griffiths also made the All-GLVC second team as a defender. Lincoln's defense allowed an average of just one goal per match this season. LU has scored 38 goals on the year, more than double the 17 it has allowed.

Tiffin University, which reached a high of 23rd nationally, had five All G-MAC selections. Landing First Team honors were defender Kristopher McDonald and midfielder Zach Garcia. Second Team selections went to forward Anelson Azard, goalkeeper Nick Cherry, and defender Mamadou Keita.

McDonald, Keita, and Cherry led one of the best defensive lines in Tiffin's history, allowing just 8 goals for the season. They have totaled 13 shutouts this season, tying the single season TU record. Cherry has totaled a 0.42 GAA and .833 save percentage in the nets, as Tiffin has allowed only 48 total shots on goal for the regular season. Cherry ranks 2nd nationally in GAA while the team is 3rd in shutout percentage.

This marks Garcia's second All G-MAC honor after earning Second Team honors in 2023. He led the team with 8 assists, helping to guide the team to the regular season G-MAC championship.

This also marks Azard's second All G-MAC selection. He led the team in goals and points, totaling 6 goals and 12 points.
