Tiffin University (13-2-4) won the 2025 G-MAC Tournament Championship in dramatic fashion, tallying a goal in the 105th minute of double overtime to beat Kentucky Wesleyan 2-1.
The win marks Tiffin's fourth G-MAC Tournament title and gives them the regular season and tourney title for the first time since 2023. It guarantees them a berth in the NCAA Tournament, with seedings and pairings to be announced Monday, Nov. 17 at 7 pm.
It was a comeback effort by the Dragons, as the Panthers broke a scoreless first half with a goal in the 57th minute off a free kick by Haakon Torvbraaten.
The Dragons kept up a relentless offensive barrage, outshooting KWC 13-2 in the second half before finally scoring in the 80th minute when
Noah Purtz took a pass from
Yaw Turkson and tied the score 1-1.
Tiffin's defense continued to stifle opponents, allowing only 3 shots on goal. After a scoreless first overtime, the Dragons got a chance off a free kick. A free kick from
Bjarne Fedkenhauer was headed by
Griffin Cook to an open
Victor Nembhard, who scored the gamewinning goal.
Nick Cherry got the win in goal, making 2 saves over 105 minutes. Tiffin held a 21-3 shot edge and 6-1 in corner kicks.
