Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Dragons fall 2-1 at Lake Erie

The Tiffin University women's soccer team (3-9-2, 2-7-1 G-MAC) scored an early goal but couldn't add on and ultimately dropped a 2-1 decision to Lake Erie on a cold and rainy night in northeast Ohio.

The Dragons started the evening fast. Amanda Feury scored off an assist from Tia Nagle for a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute.

Tiffin's defense, however, was unable to hold the lead. The Storm tied it in the 27th minute and added another goal in the 29th minute. Both goals came in a 2:23 span as Lake Erie took a 2-1 lead into halftime.

The defenses held strong in the second half with neither team scoring. Tiffin's defense was stifling and held Lake Erie to zero shot attempts during the second period.

Despite attempting seven shots in the second half, the Dragons were unable to find the equalizer. TU's best scoring chance came in the 64th minute when Sam McPhee's shot hit the crossbar.

The Dragons' lone shot on goal in the second half came from Feury in the 85th minute. With less than two minutes, the Dragons had one more chance on a corner kick but were unsuccessful.

Aubree Lee took the loss in goal making one save.

The Dragons had a 12-9 shot advantage, and both teams had three shots on goal. Lake Erie attempted seven corner kicks to Tiffin's four.
