Tiffin University men's and women's track and field hosted a successful Tiffin Open on Saturday at the Heminger Center as multiple Dragons competed and placed in the top three of various events.
The meet was not scored.
Men's highlights:
Dylan Randall was the 60 meter dash champion with a time of 6.87 seconds. Joshua Page won the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.71 seconds. Talel Khalfi won both the 800 meter dash and the mile run.
Octavious Joe placed second in the 60 meter hurdles and set a new personal best in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.18 seconds. The 4x400 relay team of Kameron Walker, Brody Devlin, Joshua Page, and Ariel Clark placed first with a time of 3:30.63. Will Rahm set a personal best in the pole vault and placed first with a mark of 4.35m (14' 3.25").
Masakala Amuri placed first in the long jump, Myles Sams won the triple jump, Kevin Hornbeak won the shot put, and Thomas Nelson placed first in the weight throw.
On Friday at Grand Valley State, Joshua Page ran a 46.24 in the 400 meter dash to break a school record and facility record
Women's highlights:
Nevaeh Lewis took first place in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.65 seconds. In the 200 meter dash, Liana Rodriguez recorded a first-place finish with a time of 25.65 seconds. C'airra Carter won the high jump with a mark of 1.64m (5' 4.5").
Kaitlyn Gum took first in both the shot put and weight throw. Moselle Punni recorded a second-place finish in the triple jump. Makayla May recorded a personal best in the pole vault and placed first with a mark of 3.72m (12' 2.5"). Abigail Temple set a personal best in the high jump with a mark of 1.45m (4' 9"). Zaynah Tate recorded a personal best in the mile with a time of 5:29.87.
