Tiffin University (20-9) saw its season come to a close with a narrow 4-3 loss to Wayne State in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional hosted by Ferris State University.

The match came down to the final match at fifth singles, where Max Navrotchi lost a close 7-5, 5-3 decision. 

Tiffin fell behind 1-0 after the doubles matches. Michael Gurtner/Matthew Telford lost 6-1 and Matthew Weaver/Ruben Fonga lost a close one 6-4.

The Dragons bounced back in singles play, winning three matches. Fonga won 6-1, 7-6, while Cyrille Colomb also won 6-0, 6-2. Martin Driesner picked up Tiffin's final victory 6-3, 6-3.

Gurtner fell in his singles match 6-3, 6-4, and Telford fell 6-2, 6-4.
