Dragons win third consecutive G-MAC Tournament

Make it three in a row.

Tiffin University (20-8) won its third consecutive G-MAC Tournament Championship with a narrow 4-3 victory over Findlay in Owensboro, Kentucky.

TU got the double point with two victories. Ruben Fonga/Matthew Weaver won 6-2 and Cyrille Colomb/Martin Driesner won 6-1. 

In singles, two three-set matches went the Dragons' way, as Fonga posted a 6-3, 2-6, 3-6 victory and Max Navrotchi picked up the championship-deciding victory with a 7-5, 3-6, 6-1 win. Weaver also won his singles match in straight sets 6-1, 6-2.

Driesner fell in a tough three-set match 3-6, 6-1, 7-5, while Matthew Telford lost a close match 6-3, 7-6 (8-6). Colomb also fell 6-0, 6-2.

The Dragons will now await NCAA regional seeding for the tournament starting May 13.
