The Dragons (4-24, 2-18 G-MAC) hosted Malone in their regular-season finale, falling to the Pioneers 62-44 following a slow start in the first half.
Malone held a four-point lead at 12-8 with just three minutes remaining in the first quarter before extending it to nine with a 7-2 run. Offensively, Tiffin continued to struggle into the second quarter as they got just nine shots up and shot 33.3 percent from the field.
The Dragons were outscored 19-8 in the second quarter as MU held a 38-18 lead at halftime. The pressure of the Pioneer defense was too strong as they forced Tiffin into a total of 29 turnovers for the game.
TU had its best offensive quarter in the fourth, shooting 66.6 percent and recording 15 points, however, it was not enough to get back into the game as the visitors sealed the victory.
Kirsten Williams led the team with 13 points, seven rebounds, and two steals.
Savanah Richards,
Presley Feltner, and
Grace Craig all tallied six points each with Feltner adding five rebounds and two blocks.
Pistol Brinson ended the game with a team-high three assists.
