Dragons fall at Ashland 76-44

Tiffin University (4-3, 1-0 G-MAC) could not keep pace with Ashland on the road, as the Eagles used the second and third quarters to build a big lead and ultimately win 76-44.

After narrowly edging TU 15-13 after the first quarter, the Eagles used big three-point shooting and defense to outpace the Dragons 23-9 in the second quarter and take a 38-22 lead into halftime.

The Dragons wanted to change momentum in the third quarter but shot just 11 percent in the quarter as the Eagles blasted past them 23-7 to put the game away.

TU committed 26 total turnovers with the Eagles holding a 27-10 points off turnovers differential. They also scorched the nets from three-point land, connecting on 41 percent of their shots (17-for-41). They outshot the Dragons from beyond the arc 17-4.

The Eagles controlled the paint, outrebounding TU 41-27.

Tomi Hinkle was the lone TU player in double figures, totaling 13 points. Megan Campbell also had 8 points while Rachel Reichard had 7. Presley Feltner had 6 points and led TU with 6 rebounds.
