Tiffin University had a strong showing with the announcement of the G-MAC All Conference men's soccer team.
The Dragons, winners of the G-MAC regular season title, had a number of major award winners.
Caleb Gibbons was named Offensive Player of the Year while
Amara Kamara earned his second consecutive Defensive Player of the Year honor. Rudy Brownell was named co-Coach of the Year with Andy Smyth of Findlay, while
Felix Graf was the Elite 26 honoree.
Tiffin had three First Team selections. Along with Gibbons (forward) and Kamara (defender),
Anelson Azard was a First Team pick at forward.
Earning Second Team selection was Graf as goalkeeper and
Jahzihno O'Garro at midfield.
Gibbons is tied for the G-MAC lead in assists with 7 and also ranks 3
rd in points and 5
th in goals.
Kamara led a Dragons' defense that was tops in the G-MAC, allowing the fewest goals during the regular season.
Azard is 3
rd in goals and 5
th in assists while placing 3
rd in G-MAC points.
Graf led the conference in GAA and shutouts while also placing 2
nd in save percentage.
This also marks Brownell's second consecutive G-MAC Coach of the Year honor. Brownell has been the G-MAC Regular Season Champion four times, G-MAC Tournament Champion three times, GLIAC Regular Season Champion three times, GLIAC Tournament Champion 4 times, and has had 7 NCAA Regional Appearances in the last 10 years. All 13 of those conference regular season and tournament titles have come in 12 of the last 16 seasons.
